New Gurugram celebrates Durga puja

New Gurugram: "Nishumbh Shukha Garjni, Prashant Munda Khandini Barerna Prakashini, Bhajami Vindhavasini .."- an impressive Bengali dance presentation on this praise of Mother Vandhasini commenced the grand Durga Puja ceremony which was inaugurated on Tuesday morning in the Vatika India Next. The event is organized by a committee of residents from Vatika India Next. On the first day of the four-day event, attractive performances were given by the artists of the dance stream Dancer Group. The main artists of this group have been trained by the famous Mrs. Vani Madhav of Orissa. Further, the Chief Guest and the India Next residents lit the lamp in front of the statue of Lord Durga with 'Jai Jai Hai Mahishasur Mardini ...' praising singing.

Durga Mata's court is decorated in a grand way. There are various types of events that attract people during this period. The exhibition here will give people an opportunity to shop for different types of handicrafts etc. This festival will get a unique mix of spirituality, music, entertainment and delicious Bengali cuisine. More than two thousand people are expected in Durga Puja every day.

On this occasion Ashish Chakraborty, a Durga Puja Committee member and a resident of Vatika India Next, said, "Durga Puja is very important for us. During this time we forget all our sufferings and have a lot of fun and spend time with family and colleagues. We've been organizing durga puja celebrations in Vatika India Next for the past 3 years. Festivals brings residents closer, it's heartening to see the entire community coming together to celebrate all festivals with great enthusiasm. In the next four days, I will spend my maximum time here and will be happy with devotion."

Durga Puja celebration shows the coming season of festivals and it revives energy and positive atmosphere. In this ceremony, twice a day in the morning and evening, traditionally devoted mother Durga's aarti will be done. Also Different types of fascinating dances will be presented on behalf of children. The views of the Jugalbandi of 'Poroshmoni Sufi Band' will be seen on October 17. In addition to this, on 18th October there will be a musical performance of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa's singer artist Ms. Maitri Moon, which will be broadcasted live on Bangla channel. On the last day of the festival, the festival will end with the immersion of Mother Durga.Residents and people from nearby areas can also join the celebrations.
